It was dark already when Hishiryo decided to put his blanket on the ground and get to sleep. It hadn’t pass more than 10 minutes when out of the sudden someone kicked his face waking him up.

-Where is the Lamp!- Someone yelled ad him.

-He pulled his blanket that was covering the lamp and jumped over the lamp to protect it.

-Give us the lamp! -Another man yelled.

They continued kicking and punching him, another man tried to pull the balnket from him tearing it. Hishiryo put himself in a fetal position yet protecting the lamp. The alley street was dark an empty, if it hadn’t been because of the shadows of some men yelling, kicking and punching the poor man on the ground the street would had looked almost like a sweet and relaxing painting. with the moon on the sky.

Hishiryo couldn’t take it anymore and two of the men pulled him from his legs and arms, his hands let go the lamp almost passed out when one of the men took the lamp as soon as it got free. He started running and the rest of the men ran after him running away from the place.

Barely an hour later five men arrived at the palace asking to se the Emperor for a commend they had from the him.

-Did you find it? – The emperor asked them.

-Do you have our pay? – Said one of the men sly.

The Emperor took a small sac with coins and threw it to the floor in front of them. One of the men took a step taking out the little lamp and gave it to the Emperor carefully.

-Yes! – He said eyes opened. – This is the lamp. -He took it gently as if it’d be a really delicate flower. -Get out no! -He yelled without even looking at them. – Leave me alone!

One of the men took the little sac with coins and all of them got out as soon as they could.

-Yes! yes! -He repeated over and over again with a face tranformed because of his greed.

The engravement on the side of the lamp shone under his hands and he read it quietly without even noticing that there was a faded part. He enjoyed the moment for a few seconds and closing eyes imagined what would it happen, next he caressed the side of the lamp with a care he had never gave not even to a little baby.

As soon as he caressed the lamp, this started shaking in his hands and a grey smoke started coming out of the nozzle. A translucent figure of a man was floating in front of him. The emperor mouth opened and his pupil dilated.

-Save Emperor! What can I do for you?

-I want to be the biggest emperor that had ever existed, so I wanna have a thousand times the amount of gold I already have.

-Absolutely Emperor Shah, but why would you ask only for one thousand times the amount of gold you already have? Why wouldn’t you ask for two thousand times the amount of gold you already have? – Said the genie with a very deep voice.

The emperor’s eyes opened like plates and his eyebrows rised amazed.

-Give me two thousand times the amount of gold I already have! – The emperor yelled!

-Only two thousand times the amount of gold you already have when you could have asked four thousand times the amount of gold you already have?

The king bit his hand upsed that his mind couldn’t think on something big enough.

-Give me 100 hundred thousand times the amount of gold I already have! – He yelled trying to satisfice the genie with his wish.

-I believe an Emperor of your condition, the greates one, as you wanna be should’t ask only for 100 hundred thousand times the amount of gold you already have but 200 hundred thousand times the amount of gold you already have.

The situattion went on and on for hours and hours, until it became an obssesion for the emperor, he couldn’t stop increasing the amount of gold he wanted in order to became the greates Emperor. He didn’t let anyone enter the salon, didn’t took food nor whater. Three days passed by and the Emperor Shah passed away.

When the Emperor subjects found his body the lamp had fallen from his hand the genie had disappeared and the old engravement wasn’t there anymore. In it’s place a new one appeared “No amount of money will ever make you wealthy.“
